With the noreaster that blew through New Hampshire last week, I wasn't doing much tangling, so I took some time today to pull out some tiles and get back to work. Laura Harms, a CZT in Canada, posts a Weekly Challenge on her blog, I am the Diva, and I thought I would give it a whirl. Quite fittingly for this Veterans Day week, it is to remember.
While I worked on this tile, I am remembered far too many people: my grandparents, aunts and uncles, my cousin David, my friends who left us all too soon, and unfortunately, some of my children's friends. I miss them all.
what a wonderful tile! I absolutly love the poppies! the VFW's around the country sell poppies that are made by disabled vets. the sales go to help support all disabled vets and your local VFW. GOOD JOB!!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty remembrance tile. Did you use metallic gel pen for the poppies?
ReplyDeleteLovely tile.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty tile! Love the touch of red.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the nice words. Yes, I did use a metallic gel pen for the poppies. I was inspired by Karen Lynn to make the flowers "pop out," and I'm so glad I did.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great combination of tangles! Very nice tribute.
ReplyDeleteLovely tile - the added color is nice!
